Native American Flute
Legends & Lore
The cardinal points of world music converge. Enjoy a roguish romp in German composer Richard Strauss’ Don Juan, the lively spirit of Chinese composer Zhou Long’s The Rhyme of Taigu, and the epic symphonic poem of Hungarian composer Franz Liszt’s Mazeppa. Haunting evocations echo in American composer James DeMars’ Two World Concerto, written for and performed by Native American guest flutist R. Carlos Nakai, Finally, the seductive pulse of Argentinian composer Astor Piazzolla’s Libertango will sweep you off your feet!
