Complexions Contemporary Ballet

Combining technical precision, power and passion, Complexions Contemporary Ballet transcends tradition in a groundbreaking mix of styles ranging from ballet to hip hop. Founded by former members of Alvin Ailey, Desmond Richardson and Dwight Rhoden, the company has been featured several times on the hit show So You Think You Can Dance?

Star Dust is a love letter to David Bowie. The dancers perform to hits like "Heroes," " Space Oddity" and "Young Americans," a performance as colorful and brilliant as Bowie himself was. In combination with costumes, make-up and lighting design, the choreography takes Bowie fans into the fascinating cosmos of the pop icon.

This project received support from Colorado Creative Industries, WESTAF (the Western States Arts Federation), and the National Endowment for the Arts.
