FCS Season 69
ODYSSEY: Sound Travels
The itinerary is set and you are invited to reserve your tickets for an epic journey through the Fort Collins Symphony’s 69th season: “Odyssey - Sound Travels.” Under the baton of award-winning conductor Maestro Wes Kenney, and over the course of five Masterworks concerts, we will embark on musical explorations designed to take us through time, space, and sound. Our travels include a wealth of eras, styles, subjects, and composers as we journey from the mid-Century music of Hollywood and the Big Apple, over the Peruvian Andes, through storm-tossed Scottish seas, and into the glittering cultural capitals of Europe’s finest cities. During the bonus Pops Concert, American Road Trip, we will traverse our country’s unique soundscape as interpreted by some of our most influential 20th century composers.
Join us as we explore eras and styles from the Baroque to the 21st Century and subjects that range from the silver screen to royal fireworks. Along the way, we will meet a variety of composers, including: Bernstein, Brahms, Stravinsky, Frank, Dvořák, Mozart, Handel, Mendelssohn, Beethoven, Shostakovich, Copeland, Anderson, Gould, and Bruckner. In all, over 225 years of symphonic music will enrich, enlighten, educate, and entertain you!
Tickets for your adventure are available now, so don’t miss the boat… this is an experience you won’t soon forget!
