Workshop: Warm and Toasty: Felt Your Own Mittens with Deb Tewell
Sunday, October 20 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. (with a lunch break), CSU Fiber Art Studio
$60, plus $25 paid to the instructor to cover the materials needed for the workshop

Description: Just in time for Christmas—or to keep chilly fingers toasty warm—this class will teach basic felting techniques. You will learn how to make dimensional, seamless felt and get pointers on some fun surface designs. Each pair of mittens will reflect the colors and textures selected by the makers.
No experience is necessary, but knowledge of how to lay out roving for wet felting is beneficial. Participants will discuss layout and surface design, as well as make your own mittens and patterns.
