As Halloween draws near, the shadows, legends and superstitions are closing in on the mysterious town of Sleepy Hollow…and so is the arrival of the new schoolmaster, Ichabod Crane!
Now, the once peaceful hollow is anything but quiet…or sleepy. Crane reads poetry to beautiful Katrina, angering brawny boyfriend Brom Bones, eats everyone out of house and home, and punishes his young scholars so that they are too sore to sit. But angriest of all, if we are to believe the Storyteller, is the town’s resident infamous spook: The Headless Horseman! Everyone is seeking revenge on outsider Crane, and someone, or something, just might get it.
The Legend of Sleepy Hollow offers thrills, chills, laughs, outrageous characters and misadventures enjoyable to all ages. Washington Irving’s classic begins the Halloween season with the tale of a schoolmaster who doesn’t believe in ghosts, and the ghost that proves him wrong. A trick and treat for the entire family!
