Create Your Own Unique Art Print at Black Violin

At The Lincoln Center’s upcoming Black Violin performance on April 20 you’re invited to roll up your sleeves and celebrate Colorado’s Month of Printmaking (Mo’Print) by making your own free, one-of-a-kind art print. Guided by artist and guest juror Johnny Plastini, attendees can explore the printmaking process through hands-on demonstrations and create a unique art piece inspired by the music of Black Violin.   Be sure to arrive early—this special demo takes place before the show from 6:15-7:15 p.m.

Johnny Plastini received his BA in interdisciplinary studio art from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and received his MFA in printmaking from the Tyler School of Art and Architecture at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He currently is an Associate Professor and Area Coordinator of Printmaking at Colorado State University (CSU), Fort Collins, as well as Co-Director of the Center for Artist Books and Inclusive Narratives at CSU. Professor Plastini has presented workshops on printmaking, papermaking, and book arts processes and exhibited his works extensively at various museums, conferences, non-profit spaces, art fairs, and galleries, both nationally and internationally.
