exhibit description

Part of Colorado’s Month of Printmaking (Mo’Print), Under Pressure is a nationally juried exhibit of work by 32 artists consisting primarily of any printmaking media (relief printing, lithograph, silkscreen, intaglio, and monoprints). Selections for the exhibition were made by our Guest Juror, Theresa Haberkorn.

Theresa Haberkorn

Making art since she was very young, Theresa Haberkorn started her formal studies at the Pinellas County Center for the Arts in St. Petersburg, Florida. Since receiving her Bachelor of Arts from the University of South Florida, Tampa, in 1994, she has exhibited her award-winning woodcut prints in national and international galleries and exhibitions. Her work can be found in museum and corporate collections including: Denver Art Museum, Kirkland Museum of Fine & Decorative Art, Denver, Children’s Hospital Colorado, Denver, and the St. Regis Aspen Resort. Theresa has been awarded artist in residencies at the Grand Canyon National Park on the North Rim, and the Art District of Breckenridge, Colorado. Theresa is also a member of Boston Printmakers, and a printmaking instructor at the Art Students League of Denver and at her studio in Boulder, Colorado.

Theresa’s work will be featured in the lobby gallery. A detail of her artwork In the Field is shown above.

MO’Print is a celebration of the art of making original prints to inspire, educate, and promote awareness through a variety of public events and exhibitions in the Denver metropolitan area, the Front Range region, and throughout Colorado. Its goal is to generate a critical mass of printmaking events. For more information on all programs and events, please visit moprint.org
