A Season of Discovery and Adventure Awaits

The Lincoln Center is proud to bring back National Geographic’s renowned speaker series, National Geographic LIVE, for another amazing season. This series brings to life the awe-inspiring stories of National Geographic explorers and industry trailblazers, and promises an extraordinary experience as Nat Geo’s most dynamic and entertaining speakers take the stage.

National Geographic LIVE immerses audiences in the world of discovery, with breathtaking imagery, compelling footage, and riveting first-person narratives from distinguished scientists, authors, filmmakers, conservationists, and adventurers.

Covering a diverse array of topics such as neuroscience, astronomy, ecology, and marine biology, the series kicks off with an expedition deep inside the brain with neuroscientist Steve Ramirez. Then photographer Babak Tafreshi uncovers the stories that happen when night falls here on Earth. The series ends with the remarkable wildlife of the famous Galapagos Islands with disease ecologist Sarah Knutie. As the season unfolds, patrons will be transported across the globe through gripping narratives and astonishing discoveries.

On Saturday, October 25, at 7:30 p.m., audiences will go on assignment with neuroscientist and National Geographic Explorer Steve Ramirez. In, Untangling the Mind, Ramirez invites viewers into his lab to observe brains in action, beginning with mice. Through this captivating presentation, he explores the foundations of human thought, emotion, and memory, giving audiences insight into what truly makes humans human.

Then, the stunning photos and videos of National Geographic Explorer Babak Tafreshi will amaze audiences on Friday, January 23, at 7:30 p.m. From the Milky Way and meteor showers to fireflies that emerge at dusk, your eyes will open a little wider after Earth After Dark . Tafreshi has spent his career documenting wildlife, humanity, and the cosmos—from dark national parks to bright urban areas—with the belief that people everywhere can connect through the shared experience of simply looking up.

The season comes to a close on Friday, March 13, at 7:30 p.m. with Discovering the Galapagos. National Geographic Explorer Sarah Knutie serves as an expert guide, as audiences go on assignment to explore the groundbreaking science that’s happening with Darwin’s finches, giant tortoises, migratory sharks, and other remarkable wildlife on these islands.

It’s not too late to buy a series package and get all three shows for one low price of $84. See what you can discover with National Geographic Live!
