It was with indescribable joy and a sense of cautious optimism that we kicked off our 2021–22 season. Through the ups and downs of COVID, we continued to move forward and offer opportunities for the arts to thrive. We are proud of what we presented, our participation in keeping the arts strong in NoCo and our uncompromising standards when it came to keeping the community as safe as possible.
First and foremost, we want to give you an earnest and heartfelt thank you. Without your support and understanding, we could not have brought you world-class productions like the National Broadway Tours of Waitress and Cats, three National Geographic Live speakers from across the globe, legendary comedians like George Lopez, and finally deliver on performances by Colin Hay and Rita Ruder that were three seasons in the making. While we have since dropped masking and vaccine or testing requirements, we are still touched by your loyalty and encouragement. It is people like you who really show us that the arts community in Fort Collins is strong and can weather any storm.
In that spirit of community, we were pleased to give back as much as we received. With the help of The Lincoln Center Support League, we continued to give local arts groups the assistance they needed to present performances at The Lincoln Center through the Support Grant program. True to our mission of making the arts accessible for all, we also found new and different ways to engage youth in the arts including a question and answer session with the inestimable Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis, dance masterclasses at CSU, and so much more. Additionally, we partnered with Animal Friends Alliance for our successful Cause for Claws donation drive, collecting much-needed supplies for our furry friends.
Even though it is hard to believe that it has been two years since our first COVID-related cancellation, the future looks bright again. We can’t wait to show you what our next season has in store—you’re going to love it!
