Looking Back with Appreciation // 2022–23 Season in Review

As another amazing season draws to a close here at The Lincoln Center, we’re taking time to reflect on some of the things that we were able to achieve because of you, our loyal patrons and friends, and your support. Take a look at what we’ve done together as a community during our 2022–2023 season.

The Lincoln Center Support League in Action

The Lincoln Center Support League is proud to proclaim that through their efforts they were able to fund and present the wonders of the performing arts to over 5,000 students this year. This included presenting four maximum-capacity performances free of charge to over 4,700 Poudre School District students to shows like the jaw-dropping ZUZU African Acrobats and the visually stunning, cultural experience of Ajijaak on Turtle Island. In addition, The Support League funded three masterclasses presented at CSU that allowed students the opportunity to interact with and learn from the talented string quartet Brooklyn Rider and the awe-inspiring dancers of Cie Hervé Koubi. This was all made possible with the help of The Lincoln Center Support League, which raises funds to assist in granting the community access to the performing arts in Northern Colorado. They eagerly welcome new members—if you want to be part of this amazing team and meaningfully contribute to the vibrant culture of Fort Collins, consider joining.

Successful Toys for Tots Giving Campaign

As part of The Lincoln Center’s commitment to the community, we partner with a local organization every year to give back and help those in need. This year, we were fortunate to work with Toys for Tots. We joined with our patrons to gather toys throughout the holidays. The campaign culminated with a final call for patrons to bring toys to the sold-out performance of Mannheim Steamroller Christmas. Boxes and boxes of toys were donated. We were honored to know that together with the generosity of our patrons, we helped bring smiles to many children’s faces in Larimer County for the holidays.

New Energy Saving Lights

We pride ourselves on delivering the best professional performing arts experience to our community, and now, we’ll be doing it even better by upgrading our lighting system. With new LED lights, we’ll not only be saving energy and reducing our carbon footprint but we will also be keeping up with current theatrical lighting technology. By installing brand new “movers,” we’ll be adding flexibility for LC LIVE presented shows and local arts groups that rent and present performances in our Performance Hall.

It’s not just our Performance Hall that is getting a glow up! We are in the process of installing LED lights throughout the venue—from our gorgeous rental spaces and Box Office to the houselights and backdrop lighting in Magnolia Theatre.

Memorable Preshow Experiences

In an effort to make every show at The Lincoln Center memorable, we have added some preshow experiences that engage patrons with local artists in our community. These preshow experiences included featuring a printmaking demonstration with artist Johanna Mueller at a National Geographic Live performance, an opportunity to watch local artist Teddi Parker create a gorgeous painting at The 5 Browns performance, and so much more. Also, who can forget the fun we had with our Think Pink contest during the run of Legally Blonde – The Musical or all of the Valentine’s dates we made extra special by giving out roses at Romeo and Juliet? We can’t wait to surprise and astound you with more memorable preshow experiences next season.

Engaging Entourage

This season, we updated our Entourage membership program to allow for additional flexibility and more choice. With our biggest membership roster yet and a smashing great time at the members-only Entourage Mixer, we’re thrilled to be bringing the arts—in a way that won’t break the bank—to a new generation of arts lovers. It’s important that we keep the love of the arts thriving for generations to come.

Fabulous Photos

This was the first full season that we’ve had a photo booth available for patrons to snap a quick pic and keep a memory forever. We’ve loved seeing all of your smiling faces, and we can’t wait to see more! We hope you treasure your memories and time spent at The Lincoln Center as much as we love sharing them with you.

FUN FACT: If you book an event at The Lincoln Center, you can also rent the photo booth to add a little panache to your party!

New Lobby Sound System

For those of you who have been longstanding patrons at The Lincoln Center, you may have noticed that the familiar sound of chimes now includes a helpful countdown to curtain announcement projected over our newly integrated lobby audio sound system. Now, no matter where you are in the lobby—be it upstairs or down— you’ll never miss the call to take your seat before curtain.

Keeping it Green with Bottle Fillers

The Lincoln Center installed new energy-efficient water fountains and bottle fillers throughout the venue in an effort to remain as environmentally friendly as possible. Sensor-activated, these fountains keep germs from spreading while also saving on electricity and water usage. Skip standing in line at the bar for water and bring your own bottle for a healthier, more sustainable future.

Reducing and Reusing Cups

With our new reusable cups provided by r.Cup, you never need to feel a pang of guilt when tossing your cups into the bin. Now, after use, you can dispose of reusable cups into an r.Cup receptacle to be washed and returned to our bar, ready to be used again! Talk about reduce and reuse!

We thank you, Fort Collins and our wonderful Northern Colorado community! Together we’ve shared unforgettable experiences, presented the community with many opportunities to experience various cultures and art forms, made updates and improvements for sustainability, and gathered together to celebrate milestone moments like weddings, retirements and high school graduations. Most importantly, we’ve made memories with you that will last a lifetime. We can’t wait to do it all again next season!
