His playing skillfully fuses the rhythm of his Puerto Rican heritage with the complexity of his jazz influences: Thelonious Monk, Herbie Hancock, McCoy Tyner as well as his older brother, Charlie Palmieri.
A 10-time Grammy winner, NEA (National Endowment for the Arts) Jazz Master, Palmieri is known for his unconventional and innovative sound that mixes American jazz with Afro-Caribbean rhythms that encompasses elements of salsa, funk, soul, and jazz.
