2023-2024: A Year in Review

May is always a bittersweet time at The Lincoln Center. It marks the end of a season but also invites us to look forward to the next. We cannot wait to tell you what’s in store for the 2024-2025 season, but first, let’s celebrate what was accomplished with your support. Join us as we take a fond look back at what we’ve done together as a community during our 2023–2024 season.

Record-breaking amount of events

Thank you to everyone who made The Lincoln Center a premier cultural destination in Northern Colorado and their first choice for hosting events. Averaging nearly three events a day (we’ve checked our shoe treads and somehow there’s still some left!), we’ve welcomed over 193,000 visitors in 2023 alone! Thank you for making us a part of your life’s milestones, whether it’s weddings, graduations or a wonderful night out at the theater.

The Lincoln Center Support League PARTNERSHIP

The Lincoln Center Support League would like to congratulate its donors, community partners, and The Lincoln Center staff for helping them successfully reach more than 8,000 students and community members with free entertainment this season. The funds donated by the Support League allowed community members to attend five free performances of the 2023 Children’s Summer Series out on The Lincoln Center lawn. The Support League’s funds also provided over 4,000 PSD students access to four free school performances at The Lincoln Center. In addition, their funding also granted 13 PSD elementary school visits/performances by The Story Bakers, who entertained and taught students to be better writers through theatrical performances. We are proud to report the progress The Lincoln Center Support League is making in service of their purpose: to positively impact children and students in our community by delivering free access to the educational power of the performing arts.

The Lincoln Center believes that delivering a diverse array of shared cultural experiences is essential to creating an exceptional community and we look forward to partnering with The Support League to bring more experiences to the community in the following year. Entourage ProGRAM

The Lincoln Center also believes that the arts are for everyone, including future generations. With the Entourage program, we invite younger audiences to try art they may never have thought to experience—like the wonders of modern dance or neo-soul music—at prices that are just right for younger folks who tend to live on a tighter budget. Since we’ve changed the Entourage program to a membership model, we’ve seen more young folks join and participate in the arts than ever before. You can learn more about the program here.

Sold Out Showstoppers Series

For the first time in a long time, The Lincoln Center is proud to say that we nearly sold out every single performance of our Showstopper series in the 2023-2024 season! Thank you to all who came to see Jesus Christ Superstar, The Book of Mormon, Come From Away and Annie. If our surveys are anything to go by, you enjoyed yourself just as much as we did. We can’t wait to reveal what shows we’re bringing in next year! You’re going to love them!

Venue Updates

We continue to ensure that The Lincoln Center is the best place for our community to meet and gather. Alongside planned replacements of the roof and HVAC, we have updated the Wi-Fi so our patrons have easier access to our digital playbills and our corporate/meeting event attendees also have reliable and fast access as well. We’ve also upgraded the AV in our Canyon West and Columbine meeting rooms so anyone who rents those spaces now has access to improved technology. In addition, after hearing requests in our surveys for better parking opportunities for those with mobility challenges, we have doubled the number of accessible parking spots in the south parking lot, located just off Meldrum and Magnolia Streets.

Charitable Giving

When we started running charity drives eight years ago during the giving season, we could never have imagined how much our community would embrace them. This year we partnered with the Food Bank for Larimer County. For those of you who donated, thank you so much for your contributions. With your help, we delivered over 500 pounds of food to those in need and we cannot express how truly grateful we are that we are a part of a community that comes together to bring about real, substantive good.

Now that it’s time for us to bring the 2023-2024 season to a close, we want to share how much we appreciate your patronage. Thank you for coming to our venue to experience new and different things, for sharing what precious time you have with friends and family here with us, and for supporting arts and culture in Northern Colorado. Thank you for making us a part of your lives and for celebrating what it means to come together as a community. We’ve made memories with you that will last a lifetime, and we can’t wait to do it all again!

We will announce our 2024-2025 performing arts season in late May and look forward to seeing you next fall at the fantastic shows we KNOW you are going to love!
